Kelly Counts has 4 children. They are homeschooled and enjoy playing in their backyard during the day. Their neighbors, the Wards, consider the children a disturbance to their tranquility. To combat the noise, the Wards started blasting music with explicit lyrics. But the Wards didn't stop there. They are even suing Kelly Counts because of the noise and the visibility issues that the children's playhouse causes to the Wards and their pets. The Counts have tried reasoning with the Wards, but they won't compromise. Since the City of Plano has approved the playhouse, Kelly Counts isn't planning on removing it. However, since the Wards have started blasting explicit music, she feels uncomfortable letting her kids play outside.
This situation is so absurd it feels like it came from a sitcom. It's ridiculous how some people are so uncompromising that legal action has to be taken against them. Our judicial system shouldn't have to act as mommy and daddy for tattle-taling children. These people are adults and should be able to solve this silly conflict on their own.
I liked your analogy about mommy and daddy, because it really does show how silly and immature their conflict is. People always have such petty problems with each other.

This is a bit unreasonable. Why does this couple have such a problem with the playhouse if it isn't even on their property?
ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous! It's funny how after claiming that the children are disrupting their tranquility and are suing for the noise, the Wards then blast explicit music contributing to the disturbance! I hope this can be solved peacefully and reasonably. -Nicole Chatham 6th period
ReplyDeleteI agree! I think its a bit ironic how childish the Wards responded, blasting loud music and such, when they were annoyed by kids in the first place!

We're in Texas, where, unfortunately, many people like this are just way too proud to do settle small arguments like this.

I think this all depends on the neighborhood that this sprouts from but i think the disrupted people should move
ReplyDeleteThe Wards are being totally unreasonable. I don't see how blasting explicit music helps solve anything.
