Trump recently gave a (politically incorrect) pitch to Christian students at Liberty University. He attempts to be relatable as Christians are a targeted majority. The students found it humorous, but seemed to appreciate his lame attempt. There were different opinions among the crowd whether his speech was authentic and he really was trying to relate to the audience, or if he was just doing it with the intentions of appealing to everyone.
This was a very gutsy thing for Trump to do, but I am not surprised at all. Politics and religion are some of if not the most controversial topics, and Trump is definitely the person to speak his to speak his mind when it comes to it. He makes a few comments that are considered inappropriate to the school and curses during his discussion with them. That's just classicTrump though, it seemed like it was beneficial for all of the people listening and to Trump.
