The Burmese python is one of the largest snakes. Currently there are some slithering around florida. On saturday, a competition started on who can find the biggest Burmese snake. There have been around 600 people who have signed up for this challenge. Cash prizes will be given to who captures the most and another prize will go out to who captures the longest Burmese python.
This is so scary to think that snakes as big as 20 feet long and up to 200 pounds are slithering around florida. Think about that- 20 feet long. I have a personal fear of snakes so this scares me so much to even think about, i hope all of these snakes are found.http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/15/us/florida-python-hunt/index.html

ReplyDeleteI mean just because the snakes are there doesn't mean they are a threat to anyone. If they were killing off people then I would understand why they would want to control the snake problem, but if the snakes are just hanging around I think that they aren't a concern for people in Florida.
I stepped on a snake when I was seven.. traumatic experience. I'm sure that snake was 7ft long, but 20ft??? That's spooky indeed.

Catching snakes shouldn't be a competition. They shouldn't be a threat unless they bite someone.
