Stormy Daniels is an adult film star who alleges that she was paid off by current president Donald Trump to keep quiet about the affair that they had. This has been an ongoing case, and of course President Trump denies the allegations. Trump's lawyer is going to a hearing to get FBI documents returned to him for review, and Stormy Daniels intends to attend this hearing herself. She believes that this will show how committed and dedicated she is to this case, and to see it's conclusion.
This whole Stormy Daniels situations draws striking parallels to the Monica Lewinsky scandal with Bill Clinton. The president having an affair is a taboo subject, and it's appearances in history have ranged from the lighthearted hear-say of JFK's involvement with Marilyn Monroe to the very serious and actual impeachment of Clinton after the story broke. The president is to be the person to represent America, and with a scandal of this nature on their records it provides for an embarrassment on America's behalf.
