Manon McCollum -- Suspected YouTube HQ shooter dead, at least 3 others wounded

https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/03/us/youtube-hq-shooting/index.html

Several people have been wounded at the Youtube headquarters in San Bruno, California, after an active shooter shot several employees and then herself. There have been no deaths reported as of yet, but 2 people are at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition.

The sequence of events that led up to that headline is long and slightly insane. The fact that a woman shot up a major company (built entirely off the success of the internet and google) and put people in Zuckerberg Hospital proves that we are in a whole new world.

In addition, our insensitivity to mass shootings after so many is staggering. 20 years ago, not only would half of the words in the article not make any sense, but the shooting itself would seem much more sensational.

  1. What the heck? You would think there would be more security at a headquarters of a company like YouTube. Also, what is with all these out of control shooting incidents that keep coming like at this rate every month. This is becoming insane. This amendment needs to be amended. Our founding fathers did not allow the right to bear arms so we could all kill each other.

  2. When I saw this pop up on my news app, I honestly didn't bother to read it. It's wild that I am so desensitized to mass shootings as this age.
