Montgomery, Alabama has extremely hot Spring weather. Before, when slaves of the south worked, it was always a question of how they survived through the dangerous weather. The memorial held in Alabama showed the more than 4,000 people of all ages killed by lynching through 1877-1950. They discovered that the reasons for the heinous crime were not realistic. For example, walking behind a white woman, or ATTEMPTING to quit a job was considered a crime.
There were lots of reasons for committing this crime, but none of them were valid. The fact that before discrimination was banned in most public places people got to hurt, threaten, and abusive African Americans, or others is sickening. It was completely unfair that based on skin color/descent white people felt they automatically had superiority over others.
Rosa Parks led to the creation of the Montgomery bus boycott simply because she didn’t want to give up her seat for a white person. All the violent outbursts and protests didn’t have to occur if people just calmed down and thought about what they were doing before they ruin someone’s life.
