ANALYSIS:
Not every person has the opportunity to enjoy life with perfect sight(etc.). Many people suffer from diseases and conditions that cause them to be held back from the joys of a full life. In a case involving a toddler named Lea Dunlap, a three-year-old who suffered a stroke after birth that left her with very little vision, scientists were determined to find a way to navigate the world around her. To challenge her disability, they developed a waistband that was so lightweight, that she wouldn't even notice it. This waistband acted as a cane that allowed her to maneuver around with a bit more ease. This not only kept her from falling, but it also helped her develop.
I love knowing there are people dedicating their work to things like this. I believe every person, no matter what disability they may have, deserves to live life with joy. After reading about the shit stirring up with the government, it's nice to know there are still good people out there.
