In South Carolina 17 inmates were injured and 7 others were killed in a prison riot. The cause for the riot was supposedly over money, contraband, and territory, even while serving time in prison they were interested in stuff like that. The prisoners were stabbed and beaten by each other(with handmade knives). The local ambulances and police(reinforcements) arrived at the prison,(Lee Correctional Institution in South Carolina).
The officials stationed at the institution should've been on high alert before the riot had happened, by closely monitoring the inmates and cracking down on the smuggled goods.

You really can't control prisoners because they have a very tough mindset. Police don't know about the smuggling because duh its "smuggling". Prisoners can make weapons out of almost everything so I'm not surprised this happened.
ReplyDeleteThose who are incarcerated can still get into trouble and that doesn’t help them progress. I think more action needs to be taken to take better prisoners them instead of hurt them.
