Dr. Sanjay Gupta, a Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN, traveled to Guinea to learn more about the Ebola virus. It's not something that the medical field knows a lot about because of how confusing the roots of the virus are. Most of the outbreaks start in small villages in the forest of Guinea after people come in contact with a certain animal but other than that information, the knowledge is pretty limited. Good news is though, that because ebola takes people's lives' quickly, ten days apporx. people have little time to travel abroad or spread the disease. But, if someone remains in close contact with a victim, the smallest bit of blood or saliva on a crack in the skin can pass it along.
Most people are unaware of the dangers of this virus but in Guinea alone in the past few days, almost 200 people have died, including 14 health workers.
