As Nuclear Power Dies, Solar Rises-1st

AS EARTH DAY APPROACHES MANY SAY THAT IT IS THE DAWN OF THE SOLAR AGE. WRITERS SAY THAT ON EARTH DAY WE CELEBRATE THE DAWN OF SOLAR AGE AND THE DECLINE OF THE NUCLEAR POWER. THE UNITED STATES AND WORLWIDE POWER INSTALLIATIONS ARE PROLIFERATING. IN 2013 THE SOLAR INSTALLITIONS AROUND THE WORLD GREW FROM 94 TO 134. NUCLEAR REACTORS ARE AGING AND ARE UNCOMPETIVE AND IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO BUILD NEW ONES. AS OF 2013, THE UNITED STAES AND THE WORLD ARE ON THE THRESHOLD OF SUSTAINABLE, CLEAN ENERGY WHICH IN MY OPINION IS A GREAT START FOR OURhttp://www.cnn.com/2014/04/22/opinion/hayes-denman-solar-power/index.html?hpt=us_mid WORLD AND OUR PLANET.

  1. I hope we can create more sustainable power facilities that don't emitt waste like nuclear energy does. The only problem with solar energy is that it's expensive and doesn't work in all locations/ all weather conditions. -Nana Johnson p2

  2. This makes me very happy. I personally feel that converting to clean energy 100% in the near future and completely eliminating nuclear power will help sustain the Earth and our existence. Obviously it will be a huge challenge to do so but it will be so good for all life form once it is accomplished.
