Last week an internet bug was released causing the Canada Revenue Agency to suffer a breach that leaked the social insurance numbers of about 900 taxpayers. This caused the website to have to shut down to prevent any further leaks of personal information of clients. It turns out, it was a 19-year old Ontario resident behind the hack who is now being charged.

This really makes me realize how advanced our youth is becoming. I know this is not necessarily a good thing, but c'mon, a 19 year old single handedly hacked a major tax service causing it to shut down. I am curious as to what his true intentions were, hacking to network. I mean that's not something you just do for fun.

One does not simply hack a tax service and release social insurance numbers "for fun". If so, he truly is a sick man. Regardless of his "true intentions", he needs to go to jail for a long time.
