In the subculture of frequent cannabis users, April 20th, which is, in essence, "National Marijuana Day", took place during this weekend. For legal cannabis dispensaries in places like Denver, Colorado, a massive amount of money from massive amounts of people has helped in improving the economy of the city.
During this weekend, Denver traffic was gridlocked endlessly, with many out-of-staters coming into Denver to purchase the controversial crop. Peoples of all different backgrounds and religions descended upon this city, all to celebrate this holiday that hasn't yet hit the Hallmark stores.
Since the pivotal legalization of medicinal marijuana in the states of Colorado and Washington, I think that America's economy shall make a rather large boom. Medicinal marijuana is being taxed each time a portion of it is sold. On the flip side, unlicensed marijuana dealers haven't found their "businesses" reaching declines. Surprisingly, they are not considerably challenged by the legal dispensaries. Additionally, police forces have been arresting less of these unlicensed businessmen, appearing to be more concerned with dealers of heavier, more dangerous substances.
So as long as these states are not challenged by ignorant officials for "morality reasons", this new taxable tobacco aid America's economy, despite popular belief on the gatherings of the lucrative "War on Drugs".
