In Lufkin, TX, 37 year old Evelyn Hamilton called 911, complaining that the quality of marijuana she received from her dealer was "substandard" and he'd refused to give her money back. Police then went to her home, asked if she still had the marijuana and arrested her on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
I actually sympathize with the woman's lack of knowledge of a crime she'd actually committed. However, I feel the cop could have simply wrote the woman a ticket as she obviously was ignorant and didn't understand that she was wrong by purchasing a "small amount" of illegal drugs. The justice system is so screwed. When real criminals ought to receive tough punishments, they don't. Rather, it's people who commit petty crimes that get the bad end of the stick.
I think this is rather hilarious. She's 37 years old, and should have a good grasp on the laws of the state she lives in. Everyone knows that the use of marijuana is not legal in Texas. Maybe she was intoxicated when she called the police? It's ironic that she assumed that the police would be able to fix this problem, but then they arrested her.
ReplyDeleteWow...If your not in colorado...DO NOT call the police about something like this...this is so funny. I wouldnt be surprised if she was high while doing it..she probably was...
ReplyDeleteThe fact that we have middle aged women in Texas who are vocal to the public about their personal use of illegal drugs…wow…sure confirms the stereotype that southerners are dumb as dirt haha
