America, a country founded for and by immigrants, is now called to accept refugees in their time of need, as we were once helped in our time of need. Germany puts up border controls, and British people protest to their government. European day of action for refugees exemplified the europeans population welcome of the refugees, but the government thought otherwise. America is called upon to take on significantly more refugees because we are said to have more room and resources. Linda Sasour, executive Director of the Arab American Administration is quoted, "I would rather use my money to shelter a Syrian Family than to kill an Iraqui family." America needs to step up, use our wealth, and save these people's futures.
