Madeline Jones 4th period: Skeletons From Napoleon's Great Army Found

Human skeletons from 200 different troops have been found in Germany. The skeletons were found at a construction site in Frankfurt, Germany. Many experts were sent to the construction site to examine the skeletons. Experts believe these troops died in 1813 due to battle wounds or typhus and were buried at a military hospital. Officials researched the location of the buried skeletons and time period they died. The officials stated that these soldiers fought in Napoleon's Great Army.
Napoleon was a French military and political leader. Napoleon was known as one of the greatest commanders in history. Grande Armee was an army commanded by Napoleon during the Napoleonic War. The Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815) were sequences of conflicts between the French Empire led by Emporer Napoleon and European Powers. These wars were known as a continuation of the Revolutionary Wars. Napoleon had fought about 60 battles and only lost around 7 battles.
