Alexis Farrell, 5th Period: Police: Baby Found Dead After Being Thrown From Window In The Bronx

On Monday afternoon in New York, a dead newborn baby was found outside of a building that was supposedly dropped out of a window. According to the sources, the umbilical chord was still attached and the investigators found a video of the child falling out of a window on the seventh story of the building. Additionally, the article states people could not tell if the baby was born alive, why it was thrown out of the window, and at what time the child was born. The witness even states how wonderful of the father was to his child and how she wasn't fond of the mother but how good of a mother she was.

First of all, if parents do not want a baby, there are several more options than throwing it out of a window. This is appalling. I cannot imagine what kind of person could be this cruel. The parents could've put the baby up for adoption, ask their parents or other family members to take care of it, or learn to love and care for the child. Although there is not a reason for why the baby was thrown, I am assuming it was because the parents did not want it. Yes, this cannot be proven but I cannot think of another reason why people would take away such a young life that could've had the potential to change the world or even become president one day. How does one go through nine months with a body growing inside of them and not feel connected enough to that living thing?
