Summary:
In Michigan at a Mobil Gas Station, a motorist managed to set fire to not only his car, but also the gas pump when trying to kill a spider with a lighter. Due to the fact that he is deathly scared of spiders, his first instinct was to kill the spider with whatever was closest to him. He did, however, put out the flames immediately with a fire extinguisher and an employee of the gas station called the fire department. The gas pump was completely destroyed, but the vehicle showed little damage.
Analysis:
I personally found this current event extremely funny. I mean, no one got hurt so I don't feel guilty for laughing at this incident. However, even though, I feel like I could most likely cause something like this, I wonder, why a lighter? You are at a gas station and a lighter is the first thing you think of to kill a tiny, harmless spider with? It just seems like it'd be hard to explain the cause for a story like this, but it's definitely not something you hear every day.

I also found it funny. I mean the dude could have stepped on it with his shoe. Did he really think nothing would light up?
ReplyDeletethis is indeed very funny. he could have used a variety of things to kill the spider but of all things he uses a lighter. i could definitely see you doing this since you seem to sometimes do things without thinking which i myself am guilty of to. i hope people can one day be a little bit more tactical.
