3 hurt in a house explosion

3 hurt in Waxahachie house explosion

At eight o'clock Monday morning, a house in Waxahachie exploded and injured three people.  One person was treated at the scene with minor injuries; the other two were taking to the hospital by helicopter.  One witness said she helped a young man out that was sitting on the curb who had some severe burns and bleeding from the foot.  The young man's sister was also badly burned.  One neighbor reported a gas leak the weekend before, but was told to call Monday morning.  They are still not for sure what caused this explosion, but are running test to see if it involved gas.  They are assuming it was a natural gas that caused the explosion.  Although only one house exploded, it damaged nine neighboring houses and caused 10 houses in total to evacuate.  The house was completely destroyed with only debris left.
