This passed July, the earth set a world record. July 2015 was the hottest month the world has seen in about 4,000 years. The steady rise of greenhouse gasses has caused dramatic increase in temperature worldwide. The average world temperature this July was 61.81°F, beating the previous record of about 61.67°F. It doesn't seem like a large difference, but on the worldwide scale, even just .01 of a degree means something.
Over thousands of years, people have been coming up with new innovative ideas to make life easier. However, these innovations and inventions create waste and destroys the climate. During the Industrial Revolution the amount of emissions increased greatly. Since then they have lowered a bit, but have stayed up for the most part.
If we don't change quickly, we will run out of time. And not just because thousands of years from now the people will suffer, but within our life time, the world will start to see the beginning of the end.

We will continue to see temperatures like this in the future and we have the technology to help stop global warming. The problem is that oil and natural gas companies run this planet and they are steering us toward disaster.
ReplyDeleteAll this is very scary, but what is even scarier is our country's fight against acknowledging global warming. Action has to be taken and so far our country has been the slowest to take any action, especially since we are still debating the issue.
