Summary- It has been rumored for a long time now that Apple has been working on a electric car. Though Apple has not said anything about there being a car in development, but, there is enough evidence to prove that they are.
Analysis- First off, if Apple were to make an electric car, what would be the price tag on it keeping in mind that every apple product cost a good amount of money? What type of car would it be? Well, we don't know much about that yet, but what we do know is that the car is expected to be driver less. That's pretty crazy and I think a corporation like Apple can pull that off. Apple has also hired several automotive industry veterans to work on this "project". It is almost 2016 now and hopefully some more information comes out about this rumor.

I certainly believe that Apple could pull it off, considering how innovative they've proved themselves so far. A driverless car worries me though.
ReplyDeletetechnology is moving very quickly and I'm honestly not suprised that a flying car is in our near future. though unless this product is tested over and over again, i personally don't feel comfortable flying in anything except a plane or a helicopter.
ReplyDeletejulie shilling p.4 a driverless car is amazing and scary to think to about. it is amazing to see how far technology has come, but i don't think i would want a car with no one in control on the streets .
ReplyDeleteApple could make a car, but I don't think it would be practical. As a cellphone/computer company, Apple makes small to medium sized portable electronics. Apple definitely has the means and the technology to invent such a thing as an "iCar" or whatever it would be called, but I don't think they have the logistics. Where would they manufacture it? How would they go about selling it, in the Apple Stores? And the big question, would it have Windows? [laughing to myself]

ReplyDeleteI think that this is a very interesting idea but it seems to me like there is way too much liability. I heard a story that hackers got into the computer system of a Jeep a few months ago and messed with the steering and made a guy crash. This problem is going to be much more prevalent in something like this. I've heard that google is also working on a self-driving car, so I would expect Google's to come out first.
Please relate this story to history.
