On monday morning, 22 year old, Merrick McKoy violated a restraining order put against him by, 21 year old, Kimphone Phanthavongsa. Kimphone is the mother of their 19 month old daughter, Mia McKoy-Phanthavongsa. Mr.McKoy showed up at Phanthavongsa's "Westminster, Colorado apartment wielding a gun, Phanthavongsa fled for her life and frantically called the police from a neighbor's house." Soon after making his way into the apartment McKoy took a picture of him and his daughter, then posted it to Facebook. McKoy then wrote "I told u I can't live without u lol u thought I was joking now me n Mia out this b****" Not too soon after posting the picture with the quote above, McKoy allegedly shot is daughter, Mia in the head and then turned the gun on himself. Though he did not seccessfully kill himself, a family member has said that he's on life support.
McKoy then updated his two more times saying, "Don't judge me had no choice." and he then wrote, "Ima miss stall lol [sic]"
"McKoy had filed a petition to exercise his parental rights in June, but was arrested in September after allegedly committing domestic violence against Phanthavongsa. He was charged with assault, burglary, trespassing, and telephone harassment."

This story breaks my heart because in all seriousness even when he posted his suicide note to the internet he attempted the lighten the seriousness be saying a catchy slang send off. He was unsuccessful in taking his on life, took his daughters and asks for an apology...but its too late because someones already dead. I just wish the mother would've been able to grab the child before she fled.
