A short while ago a killer by the name of Eric Frein was suspected of killing a state trooper in the state of Pennsylvania. Currently there is a man hunt going on for the killer and they have yet to locate him. Police say that Frein is a very dangerous man as he has extensive training as a marksman and the police believe he has more targets in mind. The weird thing is that he claims to have been in Serbia as an agent to help with the cold war and has been fascinated ever since. The point is that over 400 police officers are searching for this man and have yet to find him.
This event is rather frightening, the fact that a man wielding a military grade sniper rifle is just going around shooting cops is a tad discerning. Whether he is a "Russian spy" or not is up for debate, but any one who can put an entire state into a frenzy as well as terrify the state enforcers, is someone who should be feared. Also why was he even allowed to purchase these weapons? What practical purpose could an assault rifle possibly have? No one is going hunting with one so why are they even for sale. There is a big difference between "the right to bear arms" and the "right to bear a semi-automatic weapon capable of terrorizing the entire state of Pennsylvania"!
Why do you think the founders proposed the 2nd Amendment?
