When a woman noticed that a baby had been left in a hot car, she had no other thoughts except to break the window of the car and rescue the overheated baby. This heroic act of kindness makes my heart melt, however it still saddens me to know that people think it is okay to leave their child in a hot car. More awareness needs to be raised about the dangers of doing this, because although it is talked about and mentioned some, it is not being announced enough to make a difference. If it weren't for this woman, this baby could have been seriously harmed by something that could have completely been prevented. I hope this is a wake up call for anyone who still thinks it is okay to leave your child in a car.

That's amazing that the woman broke into the car to save the child. We all hear about this issue, but I don't think the real danger of it resonates with many people.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to know that some people still have a sense of concern and reason. What that woman did was an amazing act, but the initial act of leaving the baby left for dead is inexcusable and astonishing. The amount of irresponsibility and genuine stupidity in this day in age is absurd.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with Brett. It is completely unacceptable to leave a child in conditions like that. That child's parent obviously shouldn't be a parent if they are that unresponsible!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. That woman definitely had the fight response of the flight or fight. If it weren't for that woman, then that baby might not be alive right now. I do hope this is a wake up call because this has been happening for far too long, let's move on from our mistakes.

This reminds me of what happened around a year ago. A skyline student saw a one year old trapped in a hot car while her mother was in the elementary school she worked out. She broke the window to save the girl but sadly she didn't make it.
ReplyDeleteMom's in jail though.
Its so sad how often this situation happens to children and their mothers. They think they are leaving their children in the car for only a minute, but than they get side-tracked and completely forget about their over-heated child.
