Mekinna Knight- coup d'etat, I Think so

Recent controversies have been brought about regarding the accusations made by Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano towards Pope Francis. They state that because a member of the universal church (Archbishop Theodore McCarrik) very much wronged a child sexually, (the incident was covered up although it shouldn't have been),  that he has a duty as the pope to resign along with every other office member that tried to help cover McCarrik. To me, this honestly sounds like one of two things. One, Vigano is looking for a way to get rid of the pope for whatever strange reason. Two, he is just looking to esclate drama between the catholic believers, and people of the church around the world. While this event is heavily weighted on the pope and what his next moves will be, I think media should take a closer look in on Vigano in an attempt to uncover more information to better explain his reasonings for this 'call of resignation' .

Synthesis: I think this can be related to past history in the way that all throughout European colonization there was PLENTY of religious controversy. Although their systems might not have been as complex as ours today, I strongly believe that every believer, of whatever religion (most likely Christianity) had their fair share of notty religious leaders, and a contender their to point out even the slightest of flaws.
