Keyanna Smith "Frustration with racism is coming to the ballet box"

This is about the new poll shows how people of color feel disrespected and they stand to influence many House competitive races. They believe that it is 2 types of Americas in which the races are seperated. They are trying to do a poll over how racism is today. They are also blaming Trump for the reason that racism is getting worse.
I think that this is important because instead we of going forward in time and moving past racism we are moving backwards towards the way it was back then. The point that they are trying to make is that Trump is the reason for the increase in racism and that there should be more African American voters to take out their frustration and angry out on the poll instead of doing nothing so that we can have a better outcome next time.

  1. I think Trump is a big part of why racism is getting worse in our country. He’s supposed to set an example and the one he’s setting is that racism is ok..

  2. I agree with this aswell. I think if our president adressed racism more frequently, then we would be able to begin moving foward in time.

This article brings up a common theme of the past two years: no one agrees with a bad decision, but Trump. He does not understand the impact on American lives if Canada isn't a part of this deal. Trump's solution to the possibly problem is to put tariffs on Canada; this only adds to the tariffs the U.S. is dealing with in China. It would not put the U.S. into more trading conflicts.

  4. People look up to and count the president to make the right decisions. Unfortunately when your president is reckless with his words and says racist things, it influences people to believe it's ok to be racist or prejudice.
