On Sunday , August 26, 2018 there as a shooting in Jacksonville at a gaming tournament. According to social media Taylor robertson and Eli Clayton are the ones who passed away. Nine others were injured by gunshot wounds and two others were injured fleeing the scene. Also the gunman turned the gun onto himself. In my opinion I think all of these shooting school wise or just regular shootings are dividing us as a nation. I also think that there should be a stricter law on gun laws. In 1791 the 2nd Amendment was created and it is the right to bear arms. I wonder if the writers of the constitution had in mind that guns would be used for radical reason as they are used today.

  1. You're so right in saying that we're being divided as a nation. The frustrating thing is that we aren't just being divided; we're being fragmented. If repealing the 2nd Amendment (or severely altering it) is the only solution to gun violence, will that cause the United States to splinter more as a nation? Could it possibly spur a violent outbreak similar to the civil war?

  2. I totally agree with you on the writers of the constitutions giving us the freedom of potentially taking someones life. It is a dangerous world but why would you allow people who make individual decisions to whether a persons lives.
