Skyler Tepedino - Shooter Calls Ex During Shooting

Summary:

Upset over the end of a relationship, Peter Selis started shooting at a pool party down in the pool area of his apartment complex. After shooting two people, Selis lounged out on a pool chair under an umbrella and called his ex-girlfriend to tell her of his actions. He kept her on the phone  while he injured six people and killed another woman. Another person broke his arm while trying to escape from the situation. Although many of the victims are black and Hispanic, there has been no evidence that the shooting was based on motivated by discrimination. Selis was shot by the police upon arrival.

Analysis:

The article was written by Nicole Chavez, Emanuella Grinberg, and Paul Vercammen all from CNN. Since the article was written by a major news channel, the article is not biased toward any specific position. The article is short because it is still being updated due to the fact that it was produced today. The article was produced to showcase the crazy actions of some of the people in our society. The main idea of the article is that Peter Selis decided to shoot people not based on their race but just because of their location at that moment. This can be synthesized to the recent shootings done over Facebook live in Cleveland

  1. Not only were his actions terrible, the decision to psychologically torture his former partner was deplorable. Dayum.

  2. I like your synthesis! I agree that by calling his former partner to torture her to feel the grief was absolutely horrible, and I can't imagine being in that position!
