Deaths in Texas Because of chemical in pesticides Marisa Vasquez

In Amarillo, Texas, four children were recently killed due to the effects of pesticides in the ground. A high school senior and her three brothers as well as other residents in the household began to feel sick after the application of pesticides under their mobile home. One of the residents tried to dilute the chemical with water as a result. This was a fatal mistake. Aluminum phosphide makes up the pesticide, and when water is added, it creates toxic phosphine gas. Phosphine gas has the ability the create excess fluids in the lungs and leads to respiratory failure. About 1 million to 5 million deaths occur each year due to pesticides and chemicals similar to these among agricultural workers.

Before reading this article, I had not been aware of recent deaths or even hospitalizes due to pesticides. I was not aware that when added with water or any other substance, it produced a very toxic and fatal gas! This shows that we need to take more precaution with our environment and how our actions will affect us later on. This also shows that in order to prevent more cases similar to these in the future, we need to pay extra attention to pesticides and the chemicals that we use in our everyday life. This will reduce the amount of cases like these significantly i. This is from CNN, a very reliable news source for the most current and upcoming news.
