Claims about the Earth experiencing 15 consecutive days of darkness in the November of 2017 were supposedly confirmed by NASA. In reality, it was a simple reused hoax of the internet. In July of 2015, Newswatch33 (a fake news website) published an article called "NASA Confirms Earth Will Experience 15 Days of Complete Darkness in November 2015". It reported that between Sunday, November 15, 2015 (@ 3:00 a.m.) and Monday, November 30, 2015 (@ 4:15 p.m.), there would be total darkness as a result of an astronomical event occurring between the planets Venus and Jupiter. Charles Bolden (a real NASA official) was used to further the lie, claiming that he had issued a 1000 page document explaining the event.
This honestly shows how gullible humans (and specifically AMERICANS) can be. Multiple News Check Websites were need to determine various times that this rumor was a simple rumor.
