This is really such an awful and devastating situation that these people are going through. They were just getting ready to go to bed for the night, and then all of a sudden their whole lives changed drastically. I can't imagine what they're going through, and I hope there are many people who decide to help in anyway they can, because they surely need it more than ever right now.

Jordan Jimenez - Powerful Earthquake on Iran-Iraq Border
There was a terrible and powerful 7.3 magnitude earthquake near the Iran-Iraq border that killed over 400 people across both countries. In Iran's western Kermanshah province (rural, mountainous region where people rely mainly on farming), authorities say that the disaster killed 407 people in the country and injured 6,700. In Iraq's northern Kurdish region, Iraq's Interior Ministry said it killed at least 7 people and injured 535. The earthquake was 19 miles outside of the eastern Iraqi city Halabja, and could be felt on the Mediterranean coast, which was 660 miles away.
