Woman Gets Birthday Card from her Dad, Five Years After his Death

Twenty one year old Bailey Sellers' father passed away shortly before she turned seventeen. He was battling with pancreatic cancer. Before he passed, he arranged for his daughter, Bailey, to receive flowers and a card from him on every single one of her birthdays until she turned twenty one. She has received a card every year since. On her seventeenth birthday, shortly after his passing, she received flowers and a cards engraining him in her memory. This year she turned twenty one, and his note to her is purely heartfelt. He describes her as his "jewel" and as the "most precious gift" he was ever given. He tells her not to shed another tear over him, because he is always with her. Sellers admits that she suffered from depression after the death of her father. She now studies psychology, and she hopes to one day help people who have suffered as she has.

I like this article because it shows how a negative situation can be turned into a positive one. Losing a parent at such a young age is a devastating loss, and the fact that Sellers fought through her depression is simply amazing. This is a beautiful gesture, and it shows how much light there is in the world. It's amazing to see how she has turned her weaknesses into her strengths and is helping others with those strengths.
