Summary: On last Thursday, February 9, president Trump stated in a press conference that when he turns on the television to the news all he sees are stories of chaos when he claims that the situation is the exact opposite. He stated, "I inherited a mess" when commenting on the matter and and dismissed the stories as false. Trump has regularly dismissed as any news channel that opposes or even questions his views or his decisions like when he called our CNN as "fake news." The remaining questions that should linger with Americans is, "Who is telling the truth?" The situation of how well matters are in the White House is important to the stability to the country both domestically and internationally so one can't help but wonder who is telling the truth in this matter.
Synthesis: This topic can relate to the Gilded age in different ways. One way is how many people were skeptical of the bribed and untrustworthy politicians and their behavior. It also could relate in the aspect of Yellow journalism by which if the rumors of chaos in the white house are fake then the news stations are just making up stories to gain readers and publicity.
"Who is telling the truth?" is very true in today's times. With the media saying one thing, and the actual president saying another, the country seems very chaotic.
ReplyDeleteThe president not being able to sit down and try to comprehend other point of views is alarming. Totally disregarding those who oppose him is exactly how conflicts will arise instead of compromise.
