Gracie Darlington: Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia vandalized

Around 100 tombstones were damaged and overturned at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Philadelphia this Saturday. Less than a week ago, a similar act of vandalism took place at a Jewish cemetery in St. Louis. Members of the Muslim communities of Philadelphia have reached out to their Jewish neighbors, encouraging unity and raising funds to repair the cemetery. In addition, dozens of bomb threats have been made this year to the Jewish centers in the US and Canada.
This article was written to describe another act of hate and intolerance in the US. This wave of antisemitism has urged citizens to reach out to politicians, including the president, and compel them to rise to action. This article's audience is spread throughout the nation, and by educating them, it has a positive effect on its readers.
Antisemitism has been prevalent in the US for generations, but this article can specifically relate to the anti-Jewish sentiments and acts of the KKK during the 1920s.
