Summary: Srinivas Kuchibhotla was recently shot dead by Adam Purinton at a bar in Kansas. Kuchibhotla was Indian and so were his friends that were shot as well (but not killed). Witnesses reported hearing the suspect Purinton shout "Get out of my country" before shooting them. This story also made headlines in India and prompted Indian communities in the US to question the relative safety of their country. Officials are still doing research to conclude if it's an "official" hate crime.
Analysis: This is obviously a hate crime and it seems dumb that people don't want to call it what it is right off the bat. Telling someone "get out of my country" and then shooting them is a hate crime!!!! These seem to be becoming more frequent in the US and its really upsetting. The US is supposed to be a place where all men are equal and treated as such.

It's unfortunate that these hate crimes are most likely being fueled by the election of Donald Trump. People are a lot more bold and more willing to enact awful actions such as these.
