Summary: Donald Trump is trying to work to reverse Obama's guidelines on transgender student's bathroom rights. This has caused anger in families of transgender students and civil rights groups. There were lawmakers even before Trump who tried to push this. Just last month the Senate Bill 6 was filed in Texas which would remove transgendered students the right to use the bathroom of their identity. This bill only applies to public schools and government funded buildings. Many parents have said that this very prejudicial towards their children.
Analysis: This has been an issue for a long time and will probably be a long fight. These trans youth are still trying to figure themselves because they are still young and growing. Taking away something as trivial as what bathroom they cane use is absurd. In fact most people don't care what bathroom trans people use, it's just the narrow-minded people that cause an uproar about this.
