If you asked almost any American today if the election has taken a tole on their mental health, they would probably tell you it has. Members of all parties have felt stressed since the dawn of the original presidential candidates to today's executive orders and tweets. News fanatics are finding it hard to watch the news these day's, just because everything going on is so negative that it's stressing them out. Some have tried to just turn it off, but then they feel anxious because they aren't aware of whats going on in the world around them. Truly this is a terrible cycle. Therapists and psychiatrists in red and blue states have reported that politics are usually kept out of sessions, but lately people have been fretting about what will happen to them and the world around them if things change? Democrats we're greatly concerned of Trump's policies, while republicans were trying to keep their identities secret and were tired of getting blamed for all the problems. Will this country ever know peace?
This article was published by CNN with gathered viewpoints and quotes from multiple citizens of the US. It demonstrates how elections are hard on both parties, not just the loosing one. Usually people start to calm down once the disappointment or victory feelings fade away, but because of democrats getting angry at Trump's executive orders and republicans getting blamed, no one is at ease. This has happened somewhat in previous elections of course, but because of today's social media and easy accessibility to news (real or fake), it's much harder to escape it now. Even if you can avert your eyes from the negativities modernity has to offer, others may accuse you of living under a rock due to a lack of awareness about our worlds current state and other affairs.
