Alix Burns: Sick, dying and raped in America's nursing homes
Around the country, there have been reports of rape and sexual assault toward senior citizens in nursing homes. In many of these cases, the victims are unable to speak or fight back, some not even able to identify their perpetuators or fully remember the situation. Even more shockingly, many of the nursing homes involved in these cases move too slowly in carrying out the investigations. Because of systematic failures of failing memories or allegations, it is more difficult for the victims to get justice. Sexual harassment has been a re-occurring problem in work spaces, leading back to poor working conditions in the cotton industry during the nineteenth century.

This is extremely sad and I hope someone solves this. People are attacking people who can't fight back and it's not fair.
ReplyDeleteKiri Luckey: I also agree, this is very sad! They need to have cameras so they can solve this issue right away. It's so sad to see this generation acting so cruel.
