Summary: On January 27, Trump signed an executive order that restricts the rights of people from several Muslim-majority countries from entering the United States. This order is an attempt to discriminate against Muslims. Because the policy came for targets in a particular religious group, it is unconstitutional. Because the President has this power, Trump's lawyers say that he has every right to issue such a law to protect the country from terrorists (which would make it legal).
But the order identifies "terrorists" as people who are the civilians of these countries. Singling out this group of countries suggests the order is focused on more than just national security.
Analysis: This isn't the first time a president has done something that is unconstitutional. Back in the day, Andrew Jackson had the Indian Removal Act. I believe that this is unconstitutional because we are saying that everyone that identifies themselves as a Muslim and that lives in this region is a terrorist , when in actuality that's not the case. The people who believe in this religion are actually disgusted with the terrorists. And just saying that ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS is adding fuel to the fire and is making matters worse.
