Hannah Howell- First Woman To Travel To Every Country
Summary: Recently Cassie DePecol became this first woman ever to travel to every country! Not only was she the first woman, she was also the fastest to do so. She traveled to all 196 countries in just 18 months and 26 days. She encountered all different types of cultures and people and customs and claims she learned so much. In the video, she addressed the idea that it is unsafe for women to travel alone saying that she didn't feel unsafe for the most part, but had taken some self-defense classes prior to traveling just in case. She also mentioned that sometimes it took a while to be permitted into some countries like Syria where she had to wait for a Visa for over 5 months.
Analysis: I think this is so so cool. Cassie DePecol is definitely someone I look up to. I love traveling myself and think this would be a dream come true. I think it is so important to learn about other cultures other than your own and what better way to do that than to put yourself out there and travel.

ReplyDeleteI agree with mikenzie, it would be so great if the world could come together more and be more open to each other so that this was a more common thing.
