This was written on February 7th by the Off the Grid News Staff. China faces a strange problem, more than 45% of their residents still occupy rural areas as opposed to America’s less than 20%. By moving more people into the urban hubs of China, China will be able to compete on a much larger global scale in terms of industrialization and innovation. Their solution? To build skyscrapers that will host more than 3,000 trees and shrubs. These skyscrapers will be equipped with museums, grocery stores, clubs, and schools. The first one is hopeful to be finished by 2018 and will absorb more than 25 tons of Carbon Dioxide while producing 20 tons of oxygen. Many are hoping that this will also help solve issues of pollution as well as relocation.
