When it comes to jobs, Kellyanne Conway has one of the toughest: defending President Trump's actions. She seems to have gotten rather good at her job, until recently she brought up the great tragedy of the Bowling Green Massacre. A tragedy that never happened. No, this wasn't an auto correct mistake on twitter, this was on live news. MSNBC's "Hardball" with Chris Matthews, to be exact. Conway claimed that she accidentally misspoke, but CNN did a bit of background checking and found out that this was not the first time she mentioned this "Bowling Green Massacre". With terms like "alternative facts" and made up terrorist attacks, it makes one wonder what conway has in store next!
This article was written on February 6th, 2017. It connects how politicians and their spokes people are willing to say just about anything to get/keep their positions. From Political bosses paying off people and donating to charities to get votes to the 2016 election, and most likely back to early campaign trails in ancient Greece and Rome, lying is an age old practice to get what one wants. Sadly thanks to social media, these lies tend to spread a bit faster than horses and men carrying papers to near by town or simple word of mouth. But unlike before the dawn of the internet, your everyday person now has access to trusted news sites such as CNN, MSNBC, and many many others. Hopefully in years to come, America will find a healthy balance between the two.
