Mollie Hamman 1st Period Trafficking Victim Saved

Recently on an Alaskan Airline flight a flight attendant, Shelia Fedrick noticed something a bit off when there was a young, teenage girl who "looked like she had been through pure hell" sitting next to a suspicious man who was not allowing the teenager to speak to the attendant. The clever flight attendant decided to whisper in her ear to go to the bathroom where she left a note allowing the girl to communicate to her. In the note she asked for help. The attendant reported it to the police, and it is now being investigated. More attendants are also receiving more training on how to deal with these problems.

  1. I'm very glad that the flight attendant could tell something was off. Human trafficking is a big problem and it would be great if most public workers could tell when this is happening.

  3. This flight attendant's actions saved this girls life, she is a real hero. I'm glad to hear that this is something that flight attendants are being trained to look for.
