On Saturday, January 21st, CNN released an article that just talked all about the Women's march and how it not only occurred in DC but all over the globe. The stem of this march comes from the actions and beliefs of our president, Donald Trump. He has made disgusting remarks about women during the presidential campaign which raised a lot of negative attention as it should. Due to Trumps remarks being topped off with him being elected as president, women everywhere stood up to let the president know that they are more than what he thinks they are. I have personally heard that the march was stupid and silly (just some family members opinions) but I honestly think the march was such a powerful statement. The protesters knew that their signs obviously wouldn't throw him out of office, but because of this march people world wide, including Trump, saw the power of feminist and how the people in general hold so much power/passion. The most interesting thing to me is how it happened globally and not just in Washington DC. This just proves that women everywhere share the same ideals and that every single one of us feminist have a voice no matter who hears it. Although many people are scared at the moment because of the particular man in office, it was comforting to physically see all the people who are there standing tall and proud.
