La La Land Gets 14 Oscar Nominations- Josie Guthrey

On January 24, 2017, the Oscar Nominations were released. La La Land, a musical featured in Los Angeles, starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, was nominated for 14 awards, tying with the world record. The world record was set by Titanic and All About Eve.Many are saying they aren't surprised by the movies nominations.

But La La Land wasn't the only one to break a record. Meryl Streep was handed her 20th Oscar Nomination!

My thoughts on the Oscar news:
I loved La La Land. I saw it twice in the same day! I think the movie was done very well, great acting, and the writing was done beautifully. As for Streep, she deserves this title! She has inspired many, including myself, and has done a great deal for the acting world.
