Ava Noble: Parents Lock Kid in Basement
SUMMARY:
Two parents were found guilty for locking their kid in a basement. On Friday, the case of Recardo and Therian Wimbush was when their guilt was proven. Their son is the oldest, and his brother has malignant cancer. The parents did not provide their son with cancer any care. The son trapped in the basement was locked in for nearly two years. The parents now have guilt on three counts of second-degree cruelty. Their attorney, The Wimbushes, now will be in prison for at least 30 years. The couple has 10 children, and it is still being decided if those 10 children will be able to make contact with their parents again.
ANALYSIS:
Hearing about this is horrifying. Not only did the parents not care for their child when they have a deadly disease, but they ruined their kid's life, traumatizing them of the horrors of being locked in a small space, unable to experience how great life can be. I heard about this story through my parents. This reminded me how lucky we all are. The article I received the facts from about this article is ABC News, a very trustworthy website. I commonly use this website to learn what is happening in the world, and after researching about this event, this article is completely factual. In my opinion, the children should not be able to live with their parents ever again. I am satisfied that their attorney is going to be severely punished as well for defending something so cruel. Nobody should have to live with people who have committed such a horrible crime.
