Summary: The women’s march in Washington was roughly three times the size of the audience at President Trump’s inauguration. Marcel Altenburg and Keith Still, crowd scientists estimated that there were about 160,000 people in those areas in the hour leading up to Mr. Trump’s speech Friday. They estimated that at least 470,000 people were at the women’s march in Washington in the areas on Saturday. There is a picture shown of the huge comparison of the two days. The scientists seem to believe that it is likely with the timing of the march being a day after inauguration that it could've helped drive the significant turnout.
Analysis: On January 22, 2017 New York Times released the article by Tim Wallace and Alicia Parlapiano. This article was written to sabotage Trump and his presidency. Most of Washington's population is democratic, therefore most people most likely dislike him assuming they wouldn't go. So, leaving the Womens right march to be the next day the democrats would've gone to the march and protest Trump. I believe that people should speak their minds and have a voice in our government, but I also believe that there is a point where it becomes disrespectful to our country.
