Several planned marches for women's rights were planned for January 21st. This is because of the inauguration of Donald Trump. Although Donald Trump is the president of just America, the whole entire world participated in these global protests. In the Washington Rally, 200,000 people were estimated to march. The primary purpose of these marches was to promote equal rights for women. As far as the people outside of the US participating, they have decided to march to promote global equal rights for all women, no matter their background.
This relates to the Women's suffrage movements. Several women would get together to try promote the exact same thing today. Although, today women can vote, they still have a loss of rights.
Interesting topic Liza, I truly and wholeheartedly support the women's march that took place on January 21, the purpose was very reasonable and a great way to make history. -Jada Brown
