In Lake Mary, Florida, May 2015, a road rage shooting occurred between George Zimmerman and Matthew Anderson. According to Zimmerman's testimony, Anderson followed his car and shot him as he pulled up. Luckily, the bullet missed, but Anderson was sentenced to 20 years in prison for attempts at 2nd-degree murder. Anderson showed no sympathy and even bragged at his court case by saying, "I got him. I shot George Zimmerman."
Seeing these types of stories remind me how dangerous the road and some people can be. I think it is shocking that someone could show absolutely no care for human life on the road. Road rage is a growing conflict, and it is scary when matters are taken as far as ending somebody's life.

I understand that Matthew Anderson may be "excited" at the fact that he was able to get pay back at Zimmerman for his killing of Trayvon Martin. However, I agree that it is tragic that people have to go to these extreme measures.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely awful. It horrifies me that people will go so far to "get even."
ReplyDeleteIn my driver's ed course we learned about road rage and how to avoid it for a good part of the class. It looks like this guy could use a refresher.
ReplyDeleteThis road rage was believed to be reasonable by Anderson, but it's definitely not and I hope that he pays for pushing the limits.
