Qiaunci Jones- In North Carolina, Moderates Have Their Pitchforks Out

When “Mayor Pat” won the governor’s mansion in 2012, he broke what was known as the “Charlotte curse.” McCrory had far more charm than his Democratic opponent and, on the strength of his support for mass transportation  and a generally pro-business idealism, pulled together a coalition of urban Democrats and independents as well as the more conservative Republicans who long held large  suspicion of big-city politicians. Unfortunately, McCroy was all talk and no bite, misleading his supports into voting when he did nothing he promised. Now, his support has decreased and he caused major backlash.

This article is significant because politicians just like to say somethings just to get votes. Hypocrites are the worst kind of people, holding an opinion then contradicting it. Now, the people are revolting just like the Shay's rebellion when they felt the government was unjust,  and, honestly, I don't not blame them.

  1. It's interesting to see/hear this especially around voting time because it is something as Americans, we should be concerned about in our future leaders.
