Brittney Delpey: SWAT Team Raids Home Because of a Registered Gun
Daniel Jennings who works for Off the Grid News wrote an article regarding unconstitutional events that took place in November 25th, 2015 in Minnesota. This article was published October 13th 2016 almost an entire year later. This could affect the information because it doesn't seem as current but it is an ongoing investigation. This was written for the general citizens to let them know something like this has happened and could possibly happen despite their rights.
In the article it talks about how the Community Emergency Service Unit raided the home of Michael Delgado because they suspected Walter Power was staying with him temporarily. Power was accused of selling marijuana and they thought it was a danger that Delgado had a license gun that could be used in his home. While destructing Delgado's home by smashing the windows, they also threw flash band grenades in his home and brought a Ballistic Engineered Armed Response Vehicle with them. The "BEAR" was designed for troops on a battle field. The flash bang grenades are used to blind people with a bright light flash. Not only did they violate the Fourth Amendment by operating an unreasonable search, they also took Delgado's LICENSED gun! Delgado is now in court fighting for his legal gun back and charges and allegations towards Power was dropped.
Prior Knowledge: I had no prior knowledge to this event. I'm not surprised their was a violation to the Fourth Amendment but I am surprised they took it as far as they did with high ranked military weapons and bringing on the SWAT team.
